I had already been streaming netflix on my wii and loved it. However, i was going to be bed bound after surgery and wanted netflix on my other tv as i could get a lot of tv series streamed through it. I purchased this because streaming netflix wirelessly was my first priority. There are many blu-rays that do this. I choose this device do to ratings, price, ease of use as well as its over all reviews regarding blu-ray capabilities. I wanted a wireless device as i couldn’t do a wired connection and didn’t want the hassle or expense of adding a wireless dongle.
As many people have commented, this will play dvd’s better than a dvd player. I have not had a problem with load times or playing blu-rays or dvds.
I would highly recommend this device.
